Questions & Answers
Volunteer Questions, Answered
01 Do I need any experience to volunteer?
No. Most of what we need is people willing to show up — setting up events, handing out food and supplies, greeting neighbors, helping with youth programs.
02 How much time does it take?
As much or as little as you have. Some volunteers give a couple hours at one event. Others help regularly. Both matter.
03 What kinds of events will I be helping with?
Food drives, backpack giveaways, Park District and youth programming, Chamber events, and community gatherings throughout Maywood and Proviso Township.
04 Can I volunteer with my group?
Yes. Churches, block clubs, students, coworkers, and family — groups are welcome and often the easiest way to get started.
05 Do I have to live in Maywood?
No. If you want to support the work in Maywood, Proviso Township, or the Triton College community, there’s a place for you.
06 How do I sign up?
Fill out the contact form above and tell us what you’re interested in. Someone will follow up with upcoming opportunities.
